"" I was born and grew up in North Yorkshire.

My love of photography blossomed from expeditions with my family, taking pictures of abandoned farms on the North York Moors, capturing both beauty and poignancy in their dereliction. Imagining which one I might live in one day.

Now I feel incomplete without a camera.

I am fascinated by pretty much everything.
Everyone has a story to tell, the humbler the start point, the better. I am not sure how it happens but when I ask the un-askable questions people open up. Whether I am working with a shy child or the most volatile chef on earth. The more trust you build, the more authentic the outcome.

Today I live in Bermondsey dovetailing freelance work with The Guardian Newspaper. Mentally I wake up in one of those old farmhouses I explored years ago. There’s a brood of kids, a log shed, a washing line, an honesty box and a cat called Smallprint.

It’s a dream I never lose sight of.....
